I enjoy surfing the web, and people from all over the world, are doing the same every day. These numbers are now in the billions. Many search for information and entertainment, but a growing number of people have now begun to shop online.
A few years ago, the thought of making a living and earning an income online suddenly popped into my head. Here I was, spending so many hours a day, “surfing”, … so why not do this full time and get paid for it.
How Hard Could it Be?
After all, what a great way to make a living, … working from home, choosing my own hours of work, and not having to “crazy commute” for hours every day, … and besides, how hard could it be?
Everyone was doing it, and dot. Com millionaires were the flavour of the day!
Research, more Research
I began researching this in earnest, and I quickly found dozens of websites populated with people that had all the special skills that I would need to become an overnight sensation. In the beginning, the thoughts of all this financial success were scary and intimidating. I also found out that these people were called “Gurus”!
After falling victim to 3, yes 3, “dubious” money-making “systems”, I became very disillusioned and dejected.
My dreams of becoming rich, and spending the rest of my days on a sunny beach, checking my bank account totals, were quickly fading away.
I decided to return to my J.O.B. and make the best of a bad situation. It surely seemed as if I had not been cut out to be a millionaire, after all.
Back to the Grind
One morning I awoke to another email, extolling the benefits of this great new online marketing program.
My immediate thoughts were, … “Oh yeah! … Well, you got me, not once, but 3 times, before, so don’t expect me to fall for this crap again.
I didn’t delete the email because something in my gut told me not to and besides, I am quite stubborn and pig-headed, … at least some of my friends seem to think so.
A few days later, with my ego in recovery, I read the email and clicked on it, … again!
The funny thing about this new program was that they wanted “no upfront” money, and no credit card information, they had no upselling, and I could “test drive” the program for 1 week! … for FREE!
No more Gimmicks
My spider-senses were going off. Where and What was the gimmick?

This is the core of their platform, and the steady flow of new members arriving on a daily basis is the proof in the pudding.
They drop by, free to explore for 7 days, and a good percentage stay to begin a career online as their own boss.
What a feeling it is to own a small piece of the Web. They must have excellent value to offer.
Why is it so popular?
Its popularity is growing in leaps and bounds, and in the short time that I have spent here, I have learned “tons” on how to … 1) find a niche, (an audience on the web for you to target), … 2) build and maintain a website, … 3) attract people to my niche by creating interesting content, and … 4) how this traffic can help me earn an online income.
This learning platform was and is the real deal.
If you study hard to learn a craft and work even harder at it, you can become successful.

These 7 reasons are listed in no particular order. It would be difficult for me to rank them in order of importance because IMO, I feel that they all contribute to the total experience of learning here.
1. The Community
We all recognize the importance of friends and family when we need to get things done. Just think back to when you were in high school and you had your favourite study partners and how you helped each other pass a test, write a report and even graduate?
How your friends always seemed to know the answers you didn’t and vice versa, … well studying here is exactly the same.
The community here at Wealthy Affiliate is above and beyond.
As a matter of fact, this is what closed the deal for me. Immediately upon arriving, I was encouraged to participate in the community and get myself involved. No one can build a successful business on their own. You need to be surrounded by like-minded people who can and will, help you along this journey.
I was encouraged to ask questions about the program, and anything else that I may have had concerns about. To my pleasant surprise, I was getting answers to my questions from multiple members and all the answers were consistent and helpful. The first month went by like a breeze. I was working full-time in heavy construction, but I was so impressed with what I had learned that I decided to continue my training.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 or 366 (leap year) days a year, all members can study here to their heart’s content. There are no open and closed time periods.
