Product Number: 5027-703
Made in China
Weight: 3.9kg
Generous floor, head and vestibule room, combined with rugged fabrics and a wind-stable dome shape have made the Wanderer 2 a go-to tent for generations of Canadian paddlers. This new version comes with improved line tensioners and pegs, yet it’s still light enough to carry on backpacking trips.
- One-piece pole set with centre hub; assembles quickly and easily.
- Canopy attaches with clips for lightness, fast set-up, and air circulation.
- Full fabric canopy keeps out wind-blown rain, sand, or snow, and keeps in warmth.
- Twin vestibules provide storage of damp gear and pets, and allow night-time exits without disturbing your tent mate.
- New cam cleat tensioners let you adjust the guy lines without pulling-and-threading.
- Pegs are upgraded to DAC J-stakes, with a V-cross section that holds better than needle or wire styles.

My Review Of This Tent by MEC (formerly Mountain Equipment Co-op)
This is an excellent tent that I own and have used for many years . Believe me , when I say that a good night’s sleep is of the utmost importance . Backpacking trips , kayaking and canoeing adventures and all outdoor activities are very strenuous on the body . The only way to maintain an energy level to continue these activities day after day after day – is with a good , restful sleep .
The only way to do this , is in a dry shelter , free from bugs and humidity .
This tent is very easy to set up and take down , and although it is somewhat heavy , this load can be shared by the team , – when backpacking .
It is a 3-season tent , and yet I have used it many times in a winter setting . I have had it on the snow , and in the snow on many occasions , – in hail and blowing snow , it has always keep me dry . The 2 vestibules , one at each door , are excellent for heavy gear separation and keeping it under shelter .
I have slept in this tent in very high winds and was amazed that it did not collapse .
I have many ” bag nights ” in this tent , always 2 persons . It is much too heavy for solo expeditions( for these , I use a bivy tent ) . It sleeps 2 persons very comfortably with lots of room for gear on extended trips in the back country .
I would recommend this tent to anyone looking looking for a 3-season , 2 person tent , with a lot more to offer the hard-core types .
If you get as much pleasure from your outdoor activities as I do , you will be very pleased with your investment !
